I print out the updated ICF Core Competencies Oct 2019 and I struggle a little bit to match the CC numbering of your reflection – what version of the ICF Core Competencies are you using?

Hi Fabienne, I moved to the Updated PCC Markers at the end of 2019 when they came out. I didn’t want to spend time on the Competencies or Markers that were older because the shift was coming, and I wanted to support coaches to move in the direction of the updated Competencies. If you sign up for the MCC Demos from YouTube you can download the form I use with my students. Its a FREE opportunity to see the Updated Markers, see the videos without the Markers, so you can play more with connecting them. I have a few guesses why it’s been a struggle for you. 1. You are looking at the Competencies and not the Markers. Or, 2. You are looking at the old Competencies or Old PCC Markers. Or 3. There is a subjective difference in how you and I look at the questions the coach asked. And that, I would be super happy to talk about, but I am not sure I can offer how I look at the question/competencies this morning. I would need to break it down in my own mind and figure-out how I am assessing the questions. I’ve been doing it so long, it’s sort of second nature… and I am not always perfect because I am human, and therefore my choices are subjective. The Updated PCC Markers are the behavioral indicators of the Updated Competencies, so they do help to reduce the subjectivity.

Hi Fabienne, I’m using the updated ICF PCC Markers. The markers are the behavioral indicators of the competencies and what you will be assessed on when you submit a recording. If you go to my free stuff in the academy, MCC demos, you can download a copy.
